Upcoming Fashion shows


Prom styles form head to toe at DCIU

The Delaware County Technical High School (DCIU) is partnering with  the community organization Mic Check 1-Two! for its Prom Drive on Sunday, April 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.at the Delaware County Technical School in Folcroft. 
The prom drive is open to all Delaware County students. 

At. 4 p,. the Cosmetology program will host a fashion show featuring fashionable hairstyles, the latest makeup trends and formal wear. 

Donations of gently-used formal dresses, menswear, formal shoes, and accessories will be accepted through April 24  during normal business hours at the  four DCIU buildings: DCTS in FolcroftDCTS 75 Spring Valley Way Aston DCIU , 200 Yale ave in Morton, and Marple Education Center at 85 N. Malin Rd. in Broomall. 

Students from the Cosmetology program will be on-site during the Prom Drive providing demos for guests; Instructors will also schedule appointments for affordable hairstyles for the prom for both males and females  and nail services.

DCTS is committed to being a resource to the Delaware County community. By hosting the Prom Drive, DCTS hopes that all students have the opportunity to have memorable prom experiences by giving them access to free formal wear.The Prom Drive offers matriculating students the opportunity to gain real-world experience by providing community members beauty services.

An Evening at the Barnes 
Moore College of Art designers creations
on display  at Century 21 Department Stores.

Century 21 Department shore is sponsoring the Moore College of Art & Design's Fashion Show 2015. The spring event will beat the Barnes Foundation, 2025 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, in Philadelphia. The Barnes Foundation boasts the finest collection of impressionist art on display.

The fashion show is May 16 from 8 to 10 p.m.
The inspiration and muse for this year's evening wear is Amedeo Modigliani's Redheaded Girl in Evening Dress. (Jeune fille rousse en robe de soir) A 1918 oil on canvas. 

The Show will include childrenswear, menswear, swimsuits, and collections along with the grand finale of evening wear. 

The Fashion Show is always a sell out so get your tickets in advance for only $30.  Tickets at the door the night of the event are $40.   VIP tickets, including reserved, prime seats by the runway and convenient parking at the Barnes are $150; tickets for reserved, prime seats by the runway are $100.
